It is imperative that you have good water to brew good tea. High mineral content in water is a sure way to ruin any beautiful aromatic tea. Whether you have well or city water it is worth the small investment of purchasing a gallon of spring water at your local grocery. Keep in mind that not all packaged water is low in minerals so be a savvy consumer and pick the most pure water that you can find to insure that you have all the ingredients for a great pot of tea.

Our tea may be brewed approximately 5 times . . . remember that you can only let good tea brew a total of 6 minutes.

Instructions:
For a teapot

  • Heat water to 95c (203F)
  • As large bubbles form pour some water into the pot to warm it, then pour it out
  • Place 1 part tea to 3 parts heated water into teapot
  • Pour water over tea and let it brew for 1 minute
  • Pour entire pot into the tea cups by first filling each half full then top off each to ensure an even taste
  • Brew the second round for 30 seconds, this is the best round for flavor
  • The third round should be brewed for approximately 1 minute
  • The fourth round for 1.5 minutes and the fifth round for two minutes.
